Lakshmi pooja is a religious prayer, observed in Hinduism. The devotional
prayer are sung on the thired day of Diwali, and often during the Tihar
festival in Nepal. For this prayer people worship Goddess lakshami by cleaning
and decorating their homes inside and out with divas and candles and drawing
rangoli. They wish to bring prosperity and well being for their families and
business.
On this auspicious day Godden of wealth and well being and wife of Vishnu, Lakshmi puja is
performed with a ceremony. She is invited into the homes of devotees.
This day
is said to bring the light of knowledge among humanity. It is believed that on
this day the Godden walks through the green fields and showers her blessings on
mankind for glory and prosperity.
The Legend says that on this day ,Godden Lakshmi, visits all her devotees
and bestows gifts and blessings upon each of them. Decorated houses with
rangoli, finery and lights, sweet tracts are observed and Godden Lakshmi is
welcomed with a sere heart and soul and worshiped to bring the light of
knowledge among humanity.
